A Sidewalk Astronomer
Dana Stevens of The New York Times called this “an inspiring film about an inspired teacher.” It follows John Dobson, a former Vedanta monk, inventor of the Dobsonian telescope, and founding member of The Sidewalk Astronomers, as he travels the country speaking about the cosmos. Collaborating with producer/director Jeffrey Jacobs, a fellow spiritual science geek, was a true joy. It screened at the Tribeca Film Festival, the Singapore Film Festival, the American Museum of Natural History, BAM Rose Cinemas, PBS stations, and many other venues around the country.
